Simple Homemade Wind Chimes Which Your Kids Can Make Too
We all have a lot of stuff at home that can be recycle so we should teach our kids to recycle and make something pretty out of it.
Things you will need:
Tin cans (Cleaned)
String
Paint
Nail
Hammer
Metal washers (Or Nuts)
Tape (its optional)
Glitter (its optional)
Caution: Before you get started make sure that you have cleaned all tin cans as we all know that their edges are pretty sharp and can’t be dangerous for kids. You can either tape it up or can smooth edges with sand paper.
Homemade Wind Chimes Tutorial
Start this tutorial in open place or lay down some old newspaper or plastic so that paint doesn’t destroy your grass or floor. First step will be paint. Paint the outer area if tin cans which ever color you want. (You can add glitter in paint if you want its optional).
Step two when paint is all dried up punch a hole in the can with hammer. (Do use hammer with your supervision).
Third step will be to insert a piece of string through the hole you did in second step and tie two washer at the end of the string. Place washers inside the can. One of the two washer will be placed on the end of string to make a sound inside the tin can when it will hit it. Second washer will be use to hold the string intact and in place. (Nuts can be used instead of washer. The main purpose of the washers or nuts will be to make a sound. Make sure to select which makes good sound.)
Fourth step will be to test that if it’s making enough sound. Every tin sound is different form other due to their shape and size.
Last step will be to hang them at a place where you want it to be. Make sure they are overlap to each other.
